Sales Manager - Lexington, KY

Reports to: General Manager

Job Summary:

Hilton Focused-Service hotel brand in Lexington, KY; This role will lead the property sales efforts through pro-active sales and account management to meet and exceed revenue goals assigned to the property. The Sales Manager must be a leader in the hotel through internal and external customer relations, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and be detailed oriented to ensure accuracy for internal and external communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute Sales and Marketing Plan to drive business in all segments.
  • Establish and Maintain customer relationships.
  • Understand and keep up to date with industry and competitive market knowledge.
  • Collaboratively work with the General Manager to achieve 100% or more of total hotel room budget goals, group room goals & corporate negotiated goals through ADR and occupancy.
  • Prospect new and existing business opportunities proactively through weekly appointments, cold calls, referrals, front desk arrivals, networking, internet prospecting and sales blitzes.
  • Qualify opportunities and create business cases.
  • Communicate effectively to both internal and external customers.
  • Reporting as needed for weekly and monthly communication
  • Ability to learn and use a variety of software systems required for tracking, reserving and reporting including Word, Excel and Salesforce.
  • Attend Weekly revenue meetings and actively participate in group forecasting, pick up and cutoff dates.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years hotel sales experience
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
  • Computer competency in Microsoft
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
  • Valid Driver's license, acceptable driving record and insured vehicle
  • Ability to travel locally to existing and potential clients required
  • Other travel as necessary
