Houseperson - Residence Inn Columbus Downtown

Pay is negotiable with Marriott experience! $15/hr. - $18.00/hr.

Job Responsibilities

Attend to the cleaning and maintenance of all public areas of the property to ensure Guests and Associates experience a clean hotel.

· Reports to Executive Housekeeper and General Manager.

General Requirements:

· Must be available 7 days a week. No guarantee of weekends off.

· Provide the highest quality of service to the Guest at all times.

· Keep the Lobby clean, including washing windows and vacuuming.

· Clean Public Restrooms, including cleaning sink, toilet, and floor, replenishing supplies as needed.

· Clean Fitness Room, including mirrors, equipment and floor.

· Monitor and clean Guest Laundry, clean washer/dryer, table, mop floor as needed.

· Assist with room laundry when required.

· Clean offices and Front Office areas.

· Clean Associate break room, including bathrooms.

· Communicate changes in suite status with the Front Desk.

· Assist the Chief Engineer in resolving guest complaints concerning the Maintenance Department.

· Deliver cribs, roll-away beds and various related items to suites as requested by supervisor or guest.

· Know hotel emergency procedures.

· Accommodate guest special requests courteously.

· Answer guest questions regarding the hotel and local area facilities and services.

· Provide a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules.

· Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the Owner and Management Company per the Associate Handbook.

· Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

We are looking for a Hotel Houseperson with a strong work ethic. You should be highly organized, and detail-oriented with solid time-management and prioritization skills. It is also important that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Specific qualifications for the role include:

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year experience in a similar size operation required; hotel experience, preferred
